How to use FolioConvert’s public file tools and optional Free accounts responsibly.

What the service provides
FolioConvert provides browser-based PDF, image, audio, video and supported Illustrator file tools. Public converters and editors are available without registration. A tool’s page describes its supported inputs, outputs, settings, status and limitations. Research entries are roadmap information and cannot perform a conversion.
Your files and permissions
Use files you own or are authorized to process. You are responsible for the content you choose and for having any copyright, privacy or other permissions needed to use and share it. Do not use the service to infringe rights, unlawfully disclose information, impersonate another person, distribute harmful material or attack the website or other users.
The tools do not grant rights to third-party files. Converting a file, removing metadata, applying a visible signature or changing a password does not establish ownership or authorization. Use password and security tools only on documents you are entitled to handle.
Processing, output and availability
Conversion and editing run on your device. Keep an original copy and inspect the output before relying on it or deleting a source. Results depend on the file variant, browser, available memory and codec support. Layout, accessibility, text, forms, color profiles and metadata may change or be lost depending on the tool. Experimental labels identify limited tested scope; they are not a promise of compatibility with every input.
A visual signature is not a certificate-backed digital signature. Cropping does not erase hidden content, and visual blur or pixelation is not a guarantee of secure redaction. Review each tool’s disclosed security limits. The website does not verify that an output meets your legal, professional, archival or accessibility requirements.
There is no cloud document backup or promised recovery of unsaved work. Refreshing, navigating away, a browser failure or closing a page can lose in-memory files and edits. Download your result while the workspace is open. Features and availability can change, and continuous availability is not promised.
Optional accounts
Accounts currently support email/password signup, login, a Free account summary and logout. Keep credentials private and do not access another person’s account. Entering an email does not prove ownership of it. Email verification, password recovery and self-service account deletion are not implemented in this release. A Free account does not add cloud file storage.
No Premium subscription, payment flow or paid entitlement is currently offered. Roadmap descriptions do not create an available paid plan or an entitlement to a future feature.
Privacy and optional measurement
The Privacy Policy explains local conversion, hosting, optional authentication and consent-based Google Analytics. Rejecting analytics does not disable the public tools. Change your choice through Privacy preferences in the footer. No live advertising is enabled in this release; analytics consent does not authorize advertising.
Website materials and third-party software
Your use of a tool does not transfer ownership of your source material to FolioConvert. Third-party libraries remain subject to their own licenses; see the open-source notices. Do not represent FolioConvert or another party’s brand or content as your own.
Changes and help
These terms describe the current service. Check this page and the relevant tool instructions when returning to a changed feature. For workflow questions, start with the FAQ, About page and tool-specific limitations. Do not send passwords, session tokens or private source documents as part of a problem report.
